The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside of the UK and European Economic Area (EEA) by our group companies and our agents, representatives and business partners including Somalia and the United Arab Emirates. It may also be processed by staff operating outside the UK and EEA who work for our vendors and who are engaged in the provision of support services.
These transfers are either necessary to perform our agreement with you or to conclude or perform contracts concluded in your interest between us and another party or we have taken steps to ensure that there is adequate protection for your personal data in these circumstances through suitable safeguards, such as by entering into EU Commission or UK approved standard contractual clauses, or relying upon a vendor's Processor Binding Corporate Rules. We do not take any decisions based solely on automated processing which may give rise to legal effects or otherwise significantly affect you.
These rights may be limited, for example if fulfilling your request would reveal personal data about another person, where they would infringe the rights of a third party (including our rights) or if you ask us to delete information which we are required by law to keep or have compelling legitimate interests in keeping. Relevant exemptions are included in both the EU/UK GDPR and in the UK Data Protection Act 2018. We will inform you of relevant exemptions we rely upon when responding to any request you make.
We will inform you when your information is required to provide the services you request, or is required by law. In certain cases, such as performing money transfer services, we may be unable to provide you with our services unless you provide certain personal information but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.
If you have unresolved concerns, you have the right to complain to an EU or UK data protection authority where you live, work or where you believe a breach may have occurred. This likely to be the Information Commissioner’s Office (“ICO”) in the UK. You can call the ICO on 0303 123 1113 or by visiting their website: https://ico.org.uk/.
Wherever we rely on your consent, you will always be able to withdraw that consent, although we may have other legal grounds for processing your data for other purposes, such as those set out above.
